Greetings and salutations in the Name of our Risen Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!

It is my distinct pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the Manhattan Bible Institute. As you strive to consecrate yourself to the Lord's service through the study of His Word, I heartily encourage you in your endeavors, rejoicing in the knowledge that "your labor is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Cor. 15:58).

Indeed, a foundation has been laid through the efforts of our founder and mentor, Dr. Edward H. Boyce. A training center and fountainhead of learning has been established that willing vessels would be able to avail themselves to the precious Word of God, "which is able to build you up, and to five you an inheritance among all them that are sanctified" (Acts 20:32).

As you yield yourselves to the rigors of study and preparation, be ever mindful of the souls that are stumbling in darkness. These are lives that the Master has ordained you to touch. You must be fully prepared and equipped to effectively impact your generation for the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord and Savior prayed to His Father in His High-Priestly prayer, "As Thou hast sent Me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world" (John 17:18). And so, as we are commanded to go and make disciples of all nations, it is our sincere belief that your willingness to "study to shew thyself approved unto God" will cause you to be "a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15).

Therefore, we cannot at this time "slack our riding," but must redouble our efforts to reach our generation with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is evident that the greatest event in history of mankind is about to eclipse all other events, that is, the Rapture of the saints. Because of this, it is mandatory that you apply yourselves to the greatest of all tasks, that of preparing yourselves with a well-rounded, Biblical education at M.B.I. to face the challenges of our day. We are fully aware that in ourselves we would not be able to do this, except through the power of the Holy Spirit. For it is "not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts" (Zech. 4:6)!

Therefore we are looking forward to seeing you at M.B.I., which has graduated countless men and women in its more than 60 years in the Lord's service.
